Fola Obisesan
Operations Manager
My name is Fola Obisesan.
I graduated from Southampton Solent University where I studied MA in Human Resource Management - Class of 2013.
During my study at the university, I was employed by Stoneham HomeGroup as a part time support worker and I worked within their learning disability team supporting adults with learning disability then I was later assigned to support individuals with leaning difficulty and offending/re-offending behaviours which gives me opportunity to work with several social care professionals including MAPPA, job centre plus, police and the court of law.
Stoneham HomeGroup normally organise a yearly staff conference & open day events where all employees gets to meet colleagues from different services/teams and the idea was to encourage all the staff to be able to work in different services across the organisation to help employees to learn and discover more potential opportunities. During the event, I was fortunate to experience the showcase of the Mental Health Team (Natalie House) as they displayed a high level of enthusiasm, passion and professionalism during their key notes and awareness speech of the service they provide to people with Mental Health adversities and that triggered a deep curiosity in me to want to know and learn more about the service, so I made a contact with the service manager to register my interest.
Few months down the line, after series of in-house and external mental health training courses, I was able to join the Natalie House team as a mental health support worker and this is where I began my journey in the mental health professional space supporting individuals with mental health issues.
Joining the stringent Support Services as Operations Manager and co-founder is an home calling for me due to the fact that I have been in and out of the Mental Health profession for the past 12yrs and I am passionate about helping and supporting individuals with Mental Health issues with the best support service they may require in their journey to be fully recovered.
